Cider House Rule
Americans often refer to unfiltered apple juice, usually served hot with a cinnamon stick during the colder months, as cider. Elsewhere, however, cider is a dry, bubbly and refreshing low-alcohol beverage enjoyed year-round, by itself or with a meal.
