Home Design & Decor magazine is a shelter publication that is distributed in several cities in the United States. The total circulation exceeds 180,000 copies annually in each market served.

Started in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2000 and initially branded as Urban Home, we have expanded into several markets including Charlotte, San Antonio/Austin and Raleigh/Durham. New markets are being added throughout the United States to expand our distribution. Local franchise opportunities are available!

Recently rebranded as Home Design & Decor, the magazine attracts national and regional design professionals, who trust the editorial integrity, laser-focused distribution and broad base of home design and decorating topics to showcase their work.

The magazines vary from market to market to embrace individual market styles and regional design, while at the same time, sharing common editorial that speaks to national design trends.

Each regional magazine is locally owned by independant publishers who reside within the communities they represent. This operating structure ensures that long-lasting relationships are being formed in the community with other business owners.

Internships

Home Design & Decor offers marketing and editorial internships for college students interested in magazine journalism and marketing. The internship is offered to rising juniors and seniors and a minimum of 10 hours of work per week is required. A stipend is provided upon successful completion of the internship. A major in marketing, communications, public relations or journalism is preferred. Interns are responsible for social media, fact-checking, proofreading, research and writing. All facets of the bimonthly magazine cycle, including deadline and production, are covered. Candidates should be dependable and possess strong social, grammar and writing skills. Distribution

We direct mail to affluent, single-family homes in each market and supplement our distribution with hundreds of home-related retail locations, luxury car dealerships, real estate relocation offices, doctors offices and mailings to the design trade. Depending upon the market served, the minimum house value of our direct mail starts in the low $600Ks with no upper limit. We also review income of these homes to ensure an affluent reader sees the magazine.

We analyze the wealthiest zip codes and neighborhoods to ensure the most affluent readers see your ad. Our data is verified by third party, national direct mail sources that combine publically available data such as property tax values and home resale values to develop the most accurate mail list possible. 

Nearly 85 percent of our distribution is delivered directly to consumers' homes and mailboxes based on verifiable data sources. Unlike a magazine that is randomly placed around town, there’s no guesswork with our distribution.

We even send out postage receipts and mailing reports of the demographics of our mailings with each magazine printing.
